The establishment of the Peter Hartland Scholarship is inspired by the work of Peter Hartland, a member of the Window Shading Association of Australia Hall of Fame and a respected figure whose contributions have earned him the designation "Father of Training" within the window furnishing industry. Throughout his career, Mr. Hartland worked tirelessly to promote the significance of competency development and the necessity for a greater number of qualified individuals to participate in the sector. With work dating back to the mid-1980s, through the development of a Technical College pathway, Mr. Hartland has consistently been the number one advocate for training across both the window furnishing and security screen industries.
